How to read an Emerald Tides CoA
A Certificate of Analysis is a batch-specific analytical record. It is not a release for human use and it is not FDA approval.

Match the paper to the bottle
A CoA without a matching vial batch number is not a CoA for that bottle. Compare product identifier, batch, and stated mass before anything else.
Identity is not purity
| Question | Typical method | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Is this the intended sequence / mass? | Mass spectrometry | How much related impurity is present |
| How much of the UV-active peak is the main species? | HPLC with a stated wavelength | Absolute peptide content if counter-ion and water are unreported |
| When was this batch tested? | Analysis date and laboratory name | Condition of the vial after your storage |
Content versus as-is weight
Lyophilized peptides often include counter-ions and residual moisture. If the CoA reports peptide content separately from net weight, use the reported basis and write that basis in the notebook.
Named laboratories
Emerald Tides provides product-specific analytical documentation supported by independent third-party testing; the laboratory is named on each report. Published certificates are in the COA library. If the file for the batch in hand is not there or in the shipment packet, request it from support.
